The Canadian ATV Motocross Race Team not only represents Canada at prestigious events, all of its members also help promote safe operation of recreational vehicles to less experienced riders through youth riding camps, as well as acting as role models for less fortunate individuals across Canada and the USA. All racers are immensely involved in the community with youth all the way up to elders, and have demonstrated an intense passion in promoting patriotism, professionalism, and core values to all of their many followers!  The Race Team aims to represent its country and supporters to the fullest extent, hopes to continue to support its riders to as best as possible, and to continue to dominate this extreme sport and prove to the world that Canadian talent is a force to be reckoned with. With the help of Canadian companies and corporations, we look to make a statement in Canadian pride!

SEAN MITCHELL #177   CODY WITHEY #617   BRYAN VOLLMER #32
Sean Mitchell has been involved in Motocross for nearly a full decade, and has proven himself time and time again as an extremely talented, respected and dedicated professional that will most certainly represent his country to the highest standards!   Cody Withey is widely regarded as one of Canada’s most prominent up and coming Motocross racers. In his short racing career Cody has already proven a rare blend of blazing fast speed, dedication, professionalism and determination.    In 2013 Bryan rode for the Weinen motorsports team with other team members Thomas Brown of Texas (2nd place 2013 Pro AMA), Jordan Dummett of Australia and Chad Weinen of Illinois. The Vision

As time goes on, we are getting more and more questions about what this team is about, how it is comprised, and what it takes to be a part of the effort. www.canadianatvmx.com is up and running and we are working on networking. As a team, we are exited about the early stages of development and moving into action!

This team/racing effort/ motocross catalyst was developed by a group of people involved in the powersport’s industry, in a time where the sport is “hiccupping” as far as growth, coverage, interest and opportunities goes. The long term goals of the not for profit Canadian ATV Motocross Race team are to have at least one committed and deserving racer represent Canada in each of the upper competitive classes of the AMA Nationals and prestigious events around the world. In this economy, as most of you know, it is a huge feat in order to accomplish this, but we are certain that with the proper people at the helm of this ship, it can and will be done! Racing is not an easy or cheap sport, and is not the only front in which this team will be assaulting. We are looking to extend our efforts deep into communities around Canada, spreading awareness of our efforts, awareness of our sport and helping all interested individuals, young or old, get involved with this great hobby, provide a target and a goal for younger racers to shoot for, and open doors and opportunities to individuals that may not necessarily have the chance if it wasn’t for the CATVMX.

As with most corporations and race teams, there will be growing pains and a lot of work before we start carrying through with our goals and have the infrastructure to take on such a large team. For the time being, three racers have been chosen and have accepted the task to represent the country and the team’s efforts for the 2013 AMA season. The #617 Cody Withey, #177 Sean Mitchell, and #156 of Mike Vincent have been chosen because of their dedication to the sport both on and off the track, their involvement in the community, and of course their talents. We would like to thank these riders for taking on such a huge task and helping pave the way for future racers. CATVMX is looking to establish a sort of “farm team” system for younger and less experienced racers through the FLIPSYDE Racing program.  Dates, times, and locations for anyone interested to ride on off weekends throughout the riding season to come train, practice and hone their skills will be provided so keep an eye out. There are a number of respected people that are involved with this that are able to offer up an uncontested amount of knowledge and experience to anyone willing to learn. Keep your eyes and ears open for a calendar of ride days and events. Sean Mitchell and FLIPSYDE Racing will be assisting Team Canada’s efforts at home as best they can by providing transportation to and from these events for these racers, and is establishing a type of grass roots system for up and coming racers that are not yet ready or willing to travel internationally to Races.

The Canadian ATV Motocross Race team, its board of directors, and racers would like to thank all of the companies and individuals that have helped make this team possible, and would like to welcome racers, fans, and anybody interested in the sport of motocross to be a part of our adventure, join us at our ride days, and push yourself to be the best you can be! Maybe one day you can represent your country on this team!
